Music is art. SongSlay welcomes bold ideas, honest emotion, and different points of view. We honor creative expression while asking everyone to treat other people with respect. Express yourself freely — just don’t use that freedom to threaten, harass, exploit, deceive, or harm someone else.

What we love here

  • •Bold, strange, tender, angry, funny — art is allowed to be all of it.
  • •Be kind. Critique the work, not the person.
  • •Explicit music is welcome when it is labelled explicit, so it reaches the right listeners.
  • •Celebrate other artists. A generous room makes better songs.

What is never allowed

  • •Threats, credible violence, or encouraging anyone to harm themselves or others.
  • •Harassment, targeted pile-ons, or hateful and dehumanising attacks on people or protected groups.
  • •Unwanted sexual attention, sexual exploitation, or anything involving a minor.
  • •Posting someone’s private information — address, phone, workplace, anything they did not share.
  • •Spam, scams, fraud, malicious links, or pretending to be someone you are not.
  • •Illegal content.

Own what you post

  • •Only share music, images and words you own or have permission to use.
  • •Credit the people who played, wrote or produced with you.
  • •Your work stays yours. SongSlay never claims it.

If something goes wrong

  • •Report post sends it to us for review — use it for anything that breaks these rules.
  • •Block user stops that creator reaching you, under the safety rules already in place.
  • •Not for me is private: it simply shows you less like that. It never scores the artist down.
  • •Contact support any time you would rather talk to a person.

When rules are broken

  • •We remove content that breaks these rules, and we keep a record of why.
  • •Repeated abuse can cost community privileges, or the account.
  • •You will be told when something of yours was removed by SongSlay moderation.

Explicit music is not against these rules. Label it, and it reaches listeners who can see it — accounts we cannot confirm as adult, and anyone who turned explicit content off, simply will not be shown it.
